kickback its the holidays

Ladies and Gentlemen, the holidays are among us… with days left before the arrival of the fat man (Santa), the lighting of the Kwanza candles, and twisting of the dreidels I thought it would be a good time to remind you of some things that we tend to forget.

First, aside from all the ripping and running, trying to buy gifts, and cooking. Set time out for friends and distant family. 2020 has been a dark year for a lot of people across the world, take a minute or two out and check in on those that you care about. The year that we’ve had someone checking in with you can make all the difference. You never know what the person on the other end may have been dealing with.

Next, visit or create some family traditions. It doesn’t have to be anything grand if you don’t want it to be but make it something that you can do easily every year that will slow everyone down enough to spend the time together. My family has our Christmas eve movie night, this usually consists of a classic, a family favorite, and a new movie that the kids usually pick out. Complete with movie snacks and drinks, it brings the family together and gets everyone ready for Christmas day.

Finally, take time for yourself, I travel for the holidays because my family is nearly 8 hours away. After a long drive, unpacking, and trying to get into the rhythm of everything going on around my mother’s house, it’s good to take time to just relax. For me, that involves a Cigar, a nice drink or wine, and a pedicure. No matter what you do remember the holidays are a time to get back to center so enjoy your vacation.

Above All Else Have A Safe & Happy Holiday
